This time of year with all the Christmas tree lots open for business, I get a little sad thinking about all the trees that have been grown just to chop down and then, to be discarded without any care in the world. The streets littered with dead trees has haunted me ever since I was a little girl. I absolutely cannot bear it and always wished that there was a better way.
About 7 years ago, I came across a brand new business The Living Christmas Company who solved this problem by delivering and picking up beautiful potted Christmas trees! I was so excited that I ordered one for my salon in Venice and they were so generous, in their first year of business to offer one for my holiday party raffle and discounts for any of my clients. Every year, my store was graced with a beautiful fragrant tree (pic is of me in 2014 with my tree). I would water it and love it and come sometime early January, they would come and pick it up. I would even tear up a little when they did. I loved my tree!
This world is getting crazier by the minute and it is us that can contribute to helping nourish – not deplete our earth and Her soil.
